Greetings Strollers!
It’s a great time to be a Poet with the Edmonton Stroll of Poets because we are returning to in-person readings at the Upper Crust this Fall. The good folks at the Upper Crust Restaurant have welcomed us back, and we’re excited to welcome you all to our Haven Launch to take place on Monday, September 12, 2022!
We will be a’buzzing because it will be so good to see you all in person, but we want to assure you that we are committed to keeping everyone safe. Because we remain in Covid times, we will provide hand sanitizer and masks at the door, and we support the choices you make to keep yourself safe. If that means you will keep a physical distance, you choose not to hug or shake hands, or you choose not to sit too closely to others, we support your decisions.
We are inspired by your commitment to holding up our poetry community these past nearly three years by your steadfast attendance at “Haven at Home” on Zoom. Now that we are returning to Poets’ Haven at Upper Crust, we know that we can adjust to being in each others’ presence in a good way that ensures our comfort, safety, and friendship.
See you at Poets’ Haven on Monday, September 12th at the Upper Crust Restaurant! Come early because the show starts at 7:00 pm!
Kindly,
The Poets’ Haven Committee
Janis Dow, John Leppard, Loren Marsden, Max Vandersteen, Naomi McIlwraith

Exciting news! The day and location for the launch for the 30 Years of Strolling Chapbook has been finalized. Everyone is welcome to attend. Contributors to the chapbook are invited to read their piece at the launch. Please bring your own seating (camp chairs, picnic blanket, etc.). Please note that the bandshell does have stairs (about 5 steps) or a ramp, so footwear with a good grip is recommended.
