Poetry Talk with Linda Rogers

Our special guest at the Stroll in 2002, Linda Rogers has graciously agreed to post articles on various topics on poetics and to host the discussion which ensues. Visitors can submit commentary, which may be posted to the site, via the text box below her articles.

Her first point for discussion is the article, "Intellectual Property." If you wish to contribute to the discussion, please use the text box below. The discussion is moderated, so your submission may or may not be posted.

Vancouver-born, she studied literature, theatre and fine arts at UBC and has spent her professional life teaching, reviewing, performing and writing prose, poetry and songs for adults and children. Rogers has taught at UBC, UVic, Malaspina College, Camosun College and online for Writers in Electronic residence. She is the host of Shaw Cable's book program. Recently, she has been awarded the Stephen Leacock prize for poetry, the Dorothy Livesay Award for best British Columbia book of poetry, the Hawthorne Poetry Prize, the Saltwater Festival prize and the People's Poetry Prize. She has been President of the League of Canadian Poets.
