Anthology Submission Guidelines

Poets: Please read these guidelines very carefully.

Every poet who performs as a scheduled reader at the Poets Haven series is invited to submit one 30-line poem and one 75-word bio for inclusion in the Stroll of Poets Anthology. Each poem and bio gets one page in the anthology.

Poems and/or bios that ignore the specifications for the anthology may need to be cut, narrowed, shortened or have lines broken. This may unintentionally change the meaning of your poem or bio. You can use the form below to submit your poem.

1. Poems must have a title.
2. Maximum length of poem: 30 lines - this includes a one-line title and blank lines between stanzas.
3. Maximum width of poem: 58 spaces in size 12 font, Times New Roman.

   Submission Formatting:

4. Poems and bios must be typed on 8.5 x 11" white paper in 12pt. Times New Roman. Please don’t staple poem and bio together.
5. Print your name on the back of your poem. Please use your name for the title of your bio.
6. Submit poems by email or post to Amy Willans at the Alberta Writers Guild - awillans [AT] writersguild.ab.ca , postal address above.

7. Bios are to be no more than 75 words.
